The perfect job–talked about like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow and hunted like the elusive unicorn (my great uncle was a unicorn hunter. He died a very unhappy man.)  As a culture, and especially in this time of economic turmoil, we are obsessed with the perfect job, that impossible amalgam of self-fulfillment and self-sufficience.  The idea that someday, somehow, we’ll be able to do what we love and get paid for it, too.
