About Us:

SLObispo is a radio storytelling project currently in its infancy. Or at least in the 3rd trimester. It will be aired Tuesdays on KCPR San Luis Obispo 91.3 fm at 10:00 am starting April 7th. Podcasting will follow.
The style and format of SLObispo can be traced most directly from This American Life, but our producers draw inspiration from a variety of sources in Public Radio, short fiction writing, cereal boxes and beyond.
This project is based in the city of San Luis Obispo, located on California's Central Coast. Most of our stories originate from this area. Though our goal is to create programming that will be enjoyable (or at least listenable) to anyone at all, we hope that our local residents find these stories a little extra special, as that are voiced by their neighbors and friends.
Some local shows seek to bring newsworthy events into the light out of sheer Journalistic Integrity. Well, we don't have any of that, so our aims are more modest:
At SLObispo we tell stories. Stories you wouldn't otherwise hear. Stories that will never make the news. Stories that will surprise you.
